Subjected under a magnifying glass, we have a thirtysomething Finnish female. I live and work in Tampere, a city of 200,000 inhabitants in southern Finland.

I work as a translator. My work is a semi-sweet mélange of academic, commercial, and technical texts, spiced with sporadic cases of more creative assignments.

I am also a PhD student (English Philology) at the University of Tampere. My special fields of interest are lexicology and onomastics, and I ought also to be pursuing minors in General Linguistics and Sociology.

I hold a Master of Arts degree (1999) in English Philology, with specialization in Technical Communications and minors in Comparative Literature, French, and Audiovisual Media.
